请问安装了CCS一定要装MCSDK吗？后者的作用是什么？

初学者需要使用C6670，CCS5.5不装MCSDK也能进行sysbios软件仿真。所以不知道装MCSDK的作用是什么，是硬件仿真时要用吗？
