TVP5154的手册上有如下描述，应该是芯片硬件设计本身就提高图像的高频信号信息，例如锐度。
4.5 Luminance ProcessingThe luma component is derived from the composite signal by subtracting the remodulated chromainformation. A line delay exists in this path to compensate for the line delay in the adaptive comb filter inthe color processing chain. The luma information is then fed into the peaking circuit, which enhances thehigh-frequency components of the signal, thus, improving sharpness.

图像增强这块，包括对比度饱和度增益等等图像后处理方面，也包括前面提到的对于视频信号CVBS本身采集的增强方面，比如对于弱信号的增强，非标信号的兼容等
