Hello ,
ADS816x 8-Channel, 16-Bit, 1MSPS, SAR ADC With Direct Sensor Interface datasheet (Rev. D)
On power-up, ADS8168 is already configured to manual mode.
please configure the CHANNEL_ID register to select which channel sample to take.
This data is then clocked out on SDO after 2 cycles.

According to the chip manual, the AD chip will be configured into manual mode after power-on, check the 0 channel.
I have tried to power on without configuring any registers, and directly access the analog signal to channel 0, but the SDO did not give any response, I am not sure about the situation after changing the channel, wait for me to try.

After powering up, the mode is manual mode, the channel is AIN0, I tried to connect the analog signal directly to AIN0 without configuring any registers, but the SDO does not send back data.I'll try to configure the the CHANNEL_ID register.

diaoyu jinse:
The configuration CHANNEL_ID registers select channel 0-channel 3 in turn, and the SDO return is still the input command.

Hello ,
1) Please confirm the voltage below.
AVDD: 5V typical
DVDD: 3.3V or 5V typical
DECAP: Should measure 2.85V typical
REFIO: Should measure 4.096V after power-up (Internal reference)
Also, please confirm that the reset pin, /RST, is pulled high to DVDD. If not, there will be no activity on SDO.
2) Please check SPI timing regarding .
