1.Does the Linux SDK8.5 support PTP (hardware timestamp) for CPSW 9G on A72? If support, could you tell how to run an example?
2.Does the Linux SDK8.6 support PTP (hardware timestamp) for CPSW 9G on A72? If support, could you tell how to run an example? If not support, is there any plan to do it.
PS:
I use the cmd:"ethtool -T eth1" in the Linux SDK8.5, Serial port feedback as the below,so I think Linux SDK8.5 does not support PTP (hardware timestamp) for CPSW 9G on A72.
Time stamping parameters for eth1:
Capabilities:
software-receive
software-system-clock
PTP Hardware Clock: none
Hardware Transmit Timestamp Modes: none
Hardware Receive Filter Modes: none
Thank you very much.

For the Linux CPSW9G virtual driver integrated with Ethernet firmware, PTP support is not available on the Linux side. The PTP support is natively available on the R5 running ethernet firmware.https://e2e.ti.com/support/processors-group/processors/f/processors-forum/939912/tda4vm-tda4vm-how-to-run-timesync-ptp-example-on-sdk7-0
