Part Number:DRV8353RS-EVM
When no load, output PWM waveform drives MOSFET, MOSFET and chip are hot。When I disable the chip or MCU does not output PWM waveform, the chip normally does not heat,The image is my DRV configuration, and the waveform of SHx and GHx.

Hi,
We've got the issue and asked the help of our experts on E2E, please expect the response. Thanks.

Hi,
We believe the root cause for this overheating behavior may be that the IDRIVE setting being used is too high for this EVM.
Can you try reducing the IDRIVE setting and seeing if the behavior is still present? May consider using a new EVM if there appears to be long-term damage.

May I ask if IDRIVE refers to The gate drive current

Please let me confirm with our expert and will get back to you asap.

Hi,
Yes that is correct – IDRIVE refers to gate drive current in these devices

Hi,
Set the appropriate IDRIVE setting using this E2E FAQ: https://e2e.ti.com/support/motor-drivers-group/motor-drivers/f/motor-drivers-forum/796378/faq-selecting-the-best-idrive-setting-and-why-this-is-essential
If you are using the DRV8353RS-EVM, a good setting to use is 150mA/300mA. The GUI defaults to these IDRIVE settings to slew the onboard MOSFETs not too fast (100ns or slower). An 1100-mA IDRIVE setting is likely too large and causing the device to overheat.
