TPS92391: How to select dimming mode when I2C is not used

I can't understand the setting of dimming mode selection on pages 23 and 24 of the data sheet, as shown in the figure~

Using 8 different resistors can correspond to different dimming modes, but how can I set it without using I2C? How do I choose these two resistors in the same mode?
